I’m mad about this one… and I know I’m not alone. Disney is removing Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island, to build another Car’s land. Is anyone excited about this? I am definitely not.

I took my son when he was 11 to Disney World and his favorite part was Tom Sawyer Island because he could run around and explore! Be silly & weird. It was something different than the regular rides, there’s also something nostalgic about going to Tom Sawyer Island. Disney has plenty of space to add new attractions, why remove an original piece of Disney World?

In my opinion, Disney has made some really stupid decisions the last several years, but this one takes the cake 🎂 don’t get me wrong. I love the cars franchise. My boys grew up watching cars. I just
hate seeing Disney ruin the original rides. That’s what made Disney unique and special, the nostalgia.

I’ll be the first to say “goodbye” I never loved this roller coaster. The idea of it is amazing! Choose your music & a vertical lift, but it doesn’t fit in Universal Studios and honestly the headache is not worth it!

I’ve heard rumors of Fast & Furious, but I really hope not. Those movies were great in the early 2000’s but are old now, leave Fast & Furious in California. I like that both parks are a little unique.

The Tera Luna Resort! 🤍 it’s beautiful! The rooms are nice & spacious, the pool is incredible. Multiple restaurants on site and my favorite a Starbucks 😂 get into the parks an hour early staying at any of the universal hotels! My only advice staying here, get to the shuttles early! If you are wanting to get into the park an hour early. Especially for Epic. They filled up quickly.

I’ve stayed at all the Universal Hotels & Cabana Bay is still my favorite.
#1 It’s right next to Volcano Bay! It has a private entrance for guests, and it’s super convenient.
#2 It has the best pools, with its own lazy river & an outdoor bar/restaurant.
#3 lots of different room choices! From your standard room to a suite with a kitchen, or a room with a view overlooking volcano Bay!
#4 it’s huge and so there’s more options for food choices! I love the late night, dining, after being in the park all day it’s so nice to come back to my resort and get second dinner 😂 Plus, it has a Starbucks in it!
#5 they decorate for Halloween horror nights!
#6 it’s budget friendly! This hotel does not feel cheap, it has so many amenities and extras!

Honest review here: (don’t hate me) Paris was beautiful, so well done. The shops were cute, the food was yummy but…
This was my least favorite land. I know, I know. I’m a huge HP fan, but this land was missing something. It was the same stuff at the other parks, even the same merchandise. I would have loved more unique shops.

I didn’t love the ride. It made me dizzy, and it was kinda boring. (Spoiler) I was hoping for more drops, instead of the screen moving up & down, I rode it 3x. The virtual queue sucks, but not the worst. In my opinion the queue line is better than the ride.

The show was incredible! 9/10 I loved it! I loved walking through the circus tent. It was so immersive.

There needs to be MORE wand interactions. If I’m spending $85 on a new wand I want more things to do with the wand. Super Mario had TONS to do with the Power Up Band ($45) I spent hours playing games in Mario.

Not enough GF options here. Only a couple treats & drinks.

It needs another ride. In the original plans it had a second ride. You can see where it was supposed to go in the land. And… it needed that second ride. It’s the only land with one ride, and the land just feels incomplete.

Overall it’s amazing & I just wish there was more!

He’s been flying since he was 15, so of course his senior pictures had to be at the airport. The airport was amazing & pulled out the nice plane for him. Since he was 5 he’s known he wanted to be a pilot. He argued with the teachers when they’d give out the “occupation test” he’d tell them he doesn’t need it he already knows what he wants to be. Then after he’d take it, he’d make sure they knew it came back pilot. 😂

I am so proud of this kid! We grew up together & time has gone so quickly! He’s so smart, a good friend, and a hard worker. He’s a perfectionist & has determination. He’s graduating with his associates degree & is headed to college to finish flight school.

My favorite Land 😍 can you tell?

The theming was incredible, it was spooky & fun! It also has my favorite ride in the park. This land has 2 rides.
🤎 Curse of the werewolf 6/10, I don’t love spinning rides, but this didn’t make me sick! It didn’t feel like it fit this land very well though, and it’s super short.
🤎 Monsters Unchained 10/10 it was amazing! The queue was just as good as the ride. It was my absolute favorite!

How to Train Your Dragons land at Epic Universe is amazing! you really do feel like you are in the Isle of Burke. It’s so immersive and done very well. Hiccups wing gliders are my absolute favorite ride. It was the perfect family coaster.
My top three things in Isle of Burke:
🤍 the dragon show! It was done so well and it’s so bright and colorful, super cute!
🤍 the rice crispy treats at How to Treat your Dragon were amazing!
🤍 Fire Drill, yes, you will get wet, but it is so much fun, shooting the other boats and the targets!

What advice do you have for new skiers? Learning to ski as adult kinda sucks but here is what I’ve learned from one new skier to another.

#1 Skiing is Easier than Snowboarding & your butt isn’t cold all day from sitting & strapping in. But… snowboarding is more fun in the powder.
#2 Snowboarding outfits are better than Ski outfits. That long coat is awesome.
#3 Don’t be afraid to go fast. (You are not going as fast as you think you are anyway)
#4 Don’t cheap out on Ski Boots, seriously get the nice boots. You’ll thank me later.
#5 The bunny hill is your friend. Your best friend. Don’t be ashamed that the little kids are better than you.

Just try it. You might hate it, your body will hurt, but at least you tried something new. For me it kinda became addicting, I’d have skiing dreams & now go 2-3x a week. 😂😂😂
